DON’T STRESS! Nothing wrong, its often hard to catch yourself ovulating and when your most fertile, your best bet is to buy an ovulation test and a fertility monitor, sometimes fertility charts and ovulation predictors are free and available on line! Also its not to have sex everyday because sperm count becomes low try the every other day method, place a pillow under neath your bottom so the sperm will find its way easier! Good luck.

You can search on the web, and there are lot of information about period cycle, ovulation, etc. You can check also http://www.fertilityfriend.com/. You can find a lot of information about how to check for your fertility signs.
As for period. Probably you will have to ask your doctor, and he or she should put you in some medication to regulate it. If your cycle is just of 2 weeks, then you may also have luteal phase defect (you can search this more on the web, or also there is an article here: http://www.babyhopes.com/articles/luteal-phase-defect.html), which is when your luteal phase (the period after you ovulate till you next period) is shorter than 9 days.

You should go see a fertility specialist and see what he has to say.Thats what me and my husband has benn doing my gyno told us we were fine and come to find out after we seen the fertility doctor they found out we were’nt find hes got a low sperm count and he is only 33 and I’m 29 and I can’t hold my own estrogen its crazy the way your body works.you ovulate usually 2 weeks after the start day of your period but because your irregular I don’t know if that would work for you My periods were irregular when I was younger and the doctor put me on birth contol pills to regulate them and it worked Good luck to you I know how frustrating this can be weve been trying for 4 years But just started fertility treatment 6 months ago.
